Hodeida - Saba
Al Hodeida Governorate hosted a workshop on the implementation mechanism of the Agricultural Reclamation and Empowerment Project. The workshop was organized by the Land Authority branch in coordination with the local authority and the Agricultural Cooperative Union, under the slogan "Agricultural Renaissance in Community Partnership."
The workshop aimed to explain the concepts of project implementation and the mechanism for enabling farmers to invest in state-owned lands to grow various crops.
The First Deputy Governor, Ahmed Al-Bishri, emphasized the importance of the project in achieving a true agricultural renaissance and strengthening partnerships with cooperative societies. The Deputy Governor for Services Affairs, Mohammed Halisi, emphasized the need to adhere to technical standards to ensure effective reclamation that serves food security.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Agricultural Union, Mohammed Al-Qahoum, explained that the cooperatives will be the effective intermediary between farmers and the Authority in receiving applications and organizing empowerment. Project Director Mohsen Ali gave a detailed presentation on the project's components and implementation mechanisms, noting that it aims to revitalize the largest possible amount of neglected lands in response to the directives of the revolutionary leadership.
The workshop also featured specialized presentations on grain, date, dairy, and cotton crops, with the participation of representatives of cooperatives from ten districts in the eastern and southern quadrants.
