Occupied Quds - Saba:
Israeli enemy forces arrested 14 Palestinian workers on Wednesday evening in the town of Jabal al-Mukabbir, southeast of occupied Quds, under the pretext of "not having permits."
The workers had entered the area seeking employment to provide a decent living for their families.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that hundreds of Palestinian workers have faced arrest and abuse by Israeli police in the occupied territories over the past few months, often under the same pretext of lacking permits.
Even Palestinian workers with permits endure severe hardships. Their workday begins extremely early, before dawn, as they wait for hours at Israeli military checkpoints, where they are subjected to humiliating searches before being allowed to proceed to their workplaces.
According to a World Bank report, over 150,000 workers from the West Bank have lost their jobs inside the occupied territories since October 2023 due to Israeli restrictions on workers' access.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces arrested a Jerusalemite woman on Wednesday during their raid on the Ein al-Louza neighborhood in Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Quds Governorate reported that the occupation forces, accompanied by Israeli municipal crews, stormed the neighborhood, raided several shops, and conducted thorough inspections of goods and store documents. They also set up military checkpoints in the area, stopping vehicles and checking passengers' IDs.
During the raid, the forces arrested a woman from inside a commercial shop.
Meanwhile, in Tubas, Israeli forces arrested a young man, Musab Mowaffaq Bahjat Sawafta (23), after summoning him for interrogation at the "Salem" military camp.
Kamal Bani Odeh, head of the Prisoners' Club in Tubas, confirmed Sawafta's arrest following the interrogation summons.
