Sanaa – Saba:
Satellite-based maritime tracking platforms have revealed the arrival of nine ships from Turkish and Egyptian ports to the occupied ports of Ashdod and Haifa on August 2 and 3, defying navigation bans on trade with the Israeli occupation.
Data shows the container vessel MSC OSCAR arrived at the occupied port of Ashdod from Turkey’s Asia Port, unloading 18,400 containers, while MAERSK NARMADA, a car carrier from Turkey’s Iskenderun port, docked at the occupied port of Haifa.
Maritime imagery confirmed MSC OSCAR docked at Ashdod’s container terminal, and MAERSK NARMADA at Haifa, clearly conducting trade operations.
The data highlights continued commercial activity between Turkey and the Israeli regime. The vessel NECO K, carrying bulk goods, departed from Ashdod heading toward Istanbul, while MAERSK NARMADA also left Haifa en route to Mersin carrying 2,478 containers.
Tracking platforms also confirmed that seven ships from Egyptian ports docked at Ashdod and Haifa during the same period — five on August 2 and two on August 3. These included three container vessels (MAERSK JABAL, MARLA TIGER, YM WINNER), two bulk carriers (AQUIS PERLA, PARDUS), the general cargo ship HALO, and the cement tanker NOVA CORALIA.
The data also revealed that Egypt is continuing to import goods from Israel. The car carrier LI DER BULU departed from Haifa heading to Alexandria, while container ship MSC TUXPAN, carrying 5,060 containers, sailed from Ashdod to Port Said.
This activity underscores ongoing trade relations with Israel, despite regional and international calls for economic disengagement amid the continued siege and war crimes committed against Gaza.
