Al-Mahwit – Saba:
A 13-year-old girl died this evening after a lightning strike hit her family’s home in the village of Al-Ma’ras, Al-Gharbi Al-A’la subdistrict, Jabal Al-Mahwit District.
According to a local source, the girl, daughter of Abdulaziz Yahya Nasher Mohyi, was rushed to Al-Mahwit Republican Hospital, where doctors confirmed she had died from a severe electric shock caused by the strike.
The source urged residents of mountainous and high-altitude areas to disconnect electrical appliances, batteries, and solar panels, and to take all necessary safety precautions during thunderstorms.
