Gaza – Saba:
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Friday, that during the past 24 hours, 16 martyrs and 250 injuries were admitted to hospitals due to hunger-related causes.
This brings the total number of hunger-related martyrs admitted to hospitals since May 27 to 1,772, with more than 12,249 injuries.
The ministry, in a statement received by the Yemen News Agency (Saba), reported that Gaza hospitals recorded 4 new deaths in the past 24 hours caused by famine and malnutrition. Thus, the total number of victims from famine and malnutrition has risen to 201, including 98 children.
Palestinians in Gaza are facing an unprecedented wave of hunger since the Israeli occupation closed the crossings of the Strip in early March and imposed strict restrictions on the entry of food aid, relief supplies, fuel, and medicine.
Over time, Gaza’s residents have exhausted all food resources, shops have become empty, and finding a loaf of bread has become nearly impossible. Meanwhile, the prices of available goods have soared dramatically, making "death by starvation" one of the harshest causes of death in the Strip.
