Berlin – Saba:
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced on Friday that his government will not approve the export of any military equipment to “Israel” that could be used in the Gaza Strip until further notice.
The decision comes in response to the Israeli entity’s plan to escalate its aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza and reoccupy the territory.
In a statement, Merz called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, expressing deep concern over the suffering of Palestinians there.
Backed by the United States and European countries, the Israeli occupation forces have, since October 7, 2023, been committing acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip, killing 61,258 Palestinian civilians — the majority of them children and women — and wounding 152,045 others as of Thursday. These figures remain incomplete, as thousands of victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads, beyond the reach of ambulance and rescue teams.
