Hodeida Thawra Hospital sees short sit-in in protest of starvation in Gaza

Hodeida - Saba:

The Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Hodeida organized a protest today in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, denouncing the crimes of genocide, the policy of starvation, and the systematic siege imposed by the Zionist enemy on the Strip.

Participants in the sit-in, led by the Authority's Chairman, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Suhail, chanted slogans denouncing the occupation's crimes, which have reached their climax and are horrific. The human conscience has not flinched. This cry of pain tears through the silence and exposes the world's impotence, carrying the pain of the victims and the groans of the wounded under the weight of the bombing and siege.

Participants condemned the massacres committed by the Zionist enemy entity against civilians in the Gaza Strip, and the unprecedented comprehensive humanitarian catastrophe they are causing. They called on the international community and human rights organizations to take urgent action to halt the aggression, lift the blockade, and allow the immediate entry of humanitarian and medical aid.

The cadres of the Al-Thawra Hospital Authority considered what is happening in Gaza a historic crime against humanity, requiring urgent global action to halt the killing machine and blockade, and put an end to the impunity enjoyed by the occupation's leaders. They emphasized that silence in the face of these atrocities is complicity that adds a stain of shame to humanity.

The Authority's cadres addressed a message to the entire world, carrying an urgent appeal to the free peoples and peoples of the world to take immediate action to halt the aggression and lift the blockade. They emphasized that the blood of children and women in Gaza is a trust upon all of humanity, and that history will not be merciful to those who are complicit with the occupation. A statement issued by the vigil emphasized that the killing, starvation, and deprivation of medicine, as well as the deaths of children from starvation and disease, to which the people of Gaza are subjected, constitute a complete crime and a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions. It represents one of the most heinous and brutal forms of occupation in modern times.

The statement pointed out that the stifling blockade, the prevention of the entry of medicines and medical supplies, and the targeting of hospitals constitute systematic crimes aimed at causing the greatest number of victims, in flagrant violation of international laws that criminalize attacks on health facilities and their workers.

It called on the United Nations, human rights and humanitarian organizations, and the international community to assume their legal and moral responsibilities in stopping these crimes and holding their perpetrators accountable. It also called on the Commission to reject the double standards that expose the falsity of human rights slogans.

The Commission also condemned the massacres targeting the wounded and sick, the denial of ambulances to them, the assault on medical personnel, and the denial of treatment to prisoners, considering them a stain on the foreheads of those who remain silent in the face of these crimes. It affirmed that the people of Yemen stand in the front lines in defense of Palestine, continuing to support the resistance until the liberation of the land and holy sites. It emphasized that the blockade will not deter free peoples from championing their just causes, emphasizing that victory is coming through the will of the people.

The statement asked: "How long will more than two billion Muslims and the peoples of the world remain witnesses to the crime of the century in Gaza? How long will the killers sow death and breathe lies without accountability? How long will the silent voices remain complicit in the bloodshed? The moment has come. Will the world stand with justice or with injustice and aggression?"

The statement reiterated that Gaza will remain in the conscience of the free, and that the crimes committed against it will not be ignored. It emphasized that justice will not be defeated, no matter how intense the blockade or how long the night of injustice. It considered the continued silence and lack of effective action to save the people of Gaza from the tragedy and catastrophe of killing and starvation to be clear participation in the killing and war of extermination.
