SANA'A August 26. 2023 (Saba)-His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, met today at the Presidency House, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs - Minister of Finance Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Capital Secretariat, Ali Al-Hadi.

During the meeting, the President of the Chamber of Commerce presented to the President the Chamber's vision to motivate traders to invest and increase the rates of exemption for projects from income taxes for more than six years.

The incentives and benefits granted to investors and manufacturers in the industrial zone in Hodeida, which were issued earlier and entered into force, were reviewed.

President Al-Mashat directed to increase the rates of exemption for projects from income taxes to a minimum of ten years.

He stressed keenness to create an appropriate environment to support local production, small projects and the promotion of local inputs.
