MOGADISHU Apr 07. 2024 (Saba) - Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has reshuffled some of his cabinet ministers.

According to the Somali News Agency, the Prime Minister issued a decree with the names of the ministers who were appointed today, namely, Ahmed Moalim Faki, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ali Hosh, Minister of Interior and Federal Affairs, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail, Minister of Internal Security, Abdullahi Battan Warsame, Minister of Electricity and Water, Mohamed Adam Moalem, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Ahmed Omar Mohamed, Minister of State at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

At the end of March, the Somali parliament approved by a majority the amendment to the country's constitution, which included the election of the president by the people and the appointment and dismissal of the prime minister.
