Sana'a - Saba:
Approximately 2,900 medical and health professionals, holding Bachelor's degrees and diplomas, took the first competency exam of 2025 in the capital Sana'a on Thursday.
The exam, organized by the Medical Council at September 21 University for Medical and Applied Sciences, is a requirement for obtaining professional practice licenses.
Dr. Mujahid Measar, head of the Medical Council, stated that the exam included 1,413 Bachelor's degree holders and 1,482 diploma holders from various medical fields, including general medicine, pharmacy, nursing, dentistry, laboratory sciences, midwifery, and others.
Dr. Measar emphasized the importance of licensing exams in ensuring the competency of medical professionals and preventing errors or shortcomings in healthcare services.
He highlighted that obtaining a license signifies the ability of medical cadres to practice their profession efficiently and gain the trust of society.
