BAYDA June 29. 2024 (Saba) - The Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, inaugurated today, Saturday, work on a 224-kilometre-long Al-Bayda-Marib road maintenance, restoration and asphalting project, funded by the Road Maintenance Fund and implemented by the General Organization for Roads and Bridges.
Al-Bayda Governor listened to an explanation from the director of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges branch, Engineer Ahmed Al-Madani, about the progress of work and the rate of completion and implementation of the project, which aims to restore potholes, carry out maintenance work and rehabilitate ferries, in addition to implementing an asphalt layer according to approved specifications.
Idris pointed out the keenness of the Revolutionary Leader and the Supreme Political Council to alleviate the suffering of citizens and travelers through initiatives to open roads, including Marib-Al Bayda road.
He also pointed out the implementation of many projects in various fields, especially in the field of works, as a translation of the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council to raise the pace of work , complete service and development projects that address the concerns and needs of citizens.
Al-Bayda Governor urged those in charge of the project to adhere to the agreed-upon standards , take into account the specifications , technical and engineering aspects of the project in accordance with the contracts for implementation, financing, supervision, follow-up, evaluation and speed of completion.
