SANA'A August 16. 2024 (Saba) - Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, directed the Governor of Ibb Abdul Wahed Salah, to honor the young Abdul Majeed Al-Fakhri, who saved an entire family from drowning in Ibb Governorate.
President Al-Mashat praised the courageous stance of Al Fakhri young man who saved the family after it was surrounded by floods in their home in Jiblah liquid, in a heroic scene that reflects the morals and faith of the Yemeni people and the pride and courage that flows between their veins.
He stressed the importance of local authorities in Ibb and other provinces inspecting areas affected by the floods and providing all aspects of relief and support to the people of those areas in coordination with the emergency and relief committees in charge.
His Excellency the President called on all Yemeni people to cooperate to avoid damage as much as possible and to integrate with the government's efforts in this regard.
Activists on social networking sites circulated a clip showing the young man tying his body with a rope, descending from the roof of the house, and saving the family that inhabits it.
