GAZA August 19. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy opened fire from its aircraft and artillery on a group of Palestinian journalists near Hamad City, northwest of Khan Yunis, which led to the injury of journalist Salma Al-Qaddoumi last night.
The Palestinian News Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the occupation vehicles advanced from "Al-Haoz" area towards the northwestern side of Hamad City, where this coincided with heavy gunfire and shell.
It added that five journalists sustained bloody injuries to their limbs, four were arrested, eight were beaten, five were verbally assaulted, and four were threatened with death by brandishing weapons.
It pointed out that the phenomenon of easy shooting at journalistic crews directly under the pretext of preventing coverage continues to increase, as ten cases were monitored and documented, 16 cases were subjected to tear gas and sound bombs, nine cases of confiscation , destruction of work equipment, and four colleagues were subjected to unfair military courts and three were investigated.
The occupation forces continue their aggression on Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, which resulted in the martyrdom of 40,099 citizens and the injury of 92,609 others, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.
