BAYDA August 19. 2024 (Saba) - A training course for survey teams and family registration began on Monday in Bayda's al-Malajem district, targeting families for the conditional cash transfer project aimed at improving healthy nutrition.
The project, implemented by the Social Fund for Development in partnership with the Social Welfare Fund and funded by the World Bank, aims to support 1,400 families with a total budget of $500,000.
Over three days, 35 social researchers will receive training on data entry and information management to ensure accurate registration of beneficiaries.
During the course's opening, Bayda governor Abdullah Idris emphasized the project's importance in supporting mothers and children, highlighting the readiness of the province's leadership to assist in the successful implementation of the project.
Governor Idris also expressed hope for expanding such initiatives to further alleviate the suffering of poor families impacted by ongoing aggression and siege.
Executive Director of the Social Welfare Fund in the province Saleh al-Omari discussed the course's objectives, which include a comprehensive survey to enhance awareness among beneficiaries about health and nutrition, helping families better cope with challenges imposed by the ongoing conflict.
