DORTMUND August 25. 2024 (Saba) - Borussia Dortmund started their journey in the German First Division Football League by beating their guest Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 in the first round last night.
Dortmund owes the victory to their young English striker Jamie Beno Gittens who scored both goals.
Gittens scored the first goal against Frankfurt in the 72nd minute with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area that went into the net after hitting the crossbar. In the third minute of stoppage time, the English striker quickly launched a counterattack that he ended with a left-footed shot.
Dortmund will visit Werder Bremen in the second round match on August 31. On the same day, Eintracht Frankfurt will meet their guest Hoffenheim.
