CAIRO - SABA: The Egyptian government has expressed support for a recent United Nations General Assembly resolution urging an end to the Zionist occupation of Palestinian territories, including East al-Quds, within a year.

In a statement, Egypt's Foreign Ministry highlighted the adoption of the resolution by 124 countries as a significant show of international support for Palestinian rights and self-determination.

The ministry emphasized the need for global cooperation to restore these rights, activate the two-state solution, and ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East al-Quds as its capital.

The resolution reflects a broader commitment to addressing the historical injustices faced by the Palestinian people.
