DOHA - Saba: Qatar strongly condemns Israeli assault on Lebanon that left hundreds of civilians killed and thousands of others wounded, the Qatari foreign ministry said late on Monday, warning against wider violence and inclusive war in the region, amid persistent war on Gaza Strip.
The lingering escalation is mainly resulted from the lack of any deterrence to Israel's behaviors, repeated violations of the international law, and persistent impunity from accountability, the ministry added in a statement.
This reality further fuels crises, puts the region at the brink, and brings about more tensions that would have dire impact at the regional and international levels, the statement warned.
