Moscow - Saba:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stressed that the West is not ready to lose its positions on the global stage, and to maintain them it uses colonial methods.
Russian news agencies quoted Lavrov during the closing of the first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum last night, saying western countries are trying to incite the global majority against Russia through intimidation, blackmail and dictations.
He pointed out that Russia exchanged proposals with the countries of the African continent to improve relations, and stressed that all of this was done without resorting to dictations and blackmail, adding the West is still using intimidation methods in order to incite the global majority against Russia.
The Russian Foreign Minister noted that the West does not want and is not ready to lose its leading position on the world stage, so "the methods it uses in its relations with the world majority do not differ much from colonial methods."
Lavrov stressed that these methods are now widely observed in the actions of the West, which, according to him, is frantically seeking to reverse the objective trend of forming a multipolar world order, slow it down or - ideally - stop it.
The first ministerial conference of Russia-Africa Partnership Forum was held on November 9-10 in the Russian region of Sirius, and was attended by about 1,500 representatives of the participating countries, including 40 ministers from the African continent.
