The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, warned that implementing the Zionist Knesset's legislation to ban the UN agency would have catastrophic consequences.
Last night, Lazzarini said during a session of a committee of the United Nations General Assembly: Dismantling UNRWA will lead to the collapse of the UN humanitarian response in Gaza, which relies heavily on the agency's infrastructure.
It will also deprive half a million Palestinian refugees of primary health care in the West Bank.
