Taiz Province's Security Department on Saturday opened an exhibition showcasing photos of its martyrs, commemorating the annual martyrdom anniversary for the year 1446 AH.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Taiz's Undersecretary for Defense and Security Affairs Nour al-Din al-Marrani, Taiz province mobilization official Brigadier General Mohammed al-Khalidi, and province's security director Brig. Gen. Shukri Mahyoub. They were accompanied by the head of the social unit, Hamis al-Habbari.
During the opening, Undersecretary al-Marani emphasized the moral and national duty to honor the martyrs and their families, urging everyone to follow their example of sacrifice and courage.
He stressed the importance of supporting the martyrs' families and meeting their needs, and described the martyrdom anniversary as a time to reflect on the bravery of those who gave their lives for the homeland.
Brig. Gen. al-Khalidi praised the exhibition’s organization, noting that it vividly highlighted the sacrifices made by security personnel in the defense of the nation.
He emphasized that the contributions of Taiz's security forces, alongside the armed forces, were integral to the ongoing struggle for Yemen's dignity and freedom.
In his remarks, Brig. Gen. Mahyoub underscored that the sacrifices of the martyrs had led to victories, freedom, and pride for the Yemeni people, asserting that Taiz's security personnel continue to stand strong alongside their fellow soldiers in confronting aggression.
