Washington - Saba:
The US Senate late on Tuesday saw a mass rally organized by activists to call on the senators to stop arms sales for the Israeli occupier.
Religious groups, health workers and medics, teachers and students, and veterans took part in the rally.
The police used force to seize placards from activists and arrested at least 30 demonstrators who voiced their demands to stop the genocide in Gaza and funds channeled for this purpose.
In the meantime, the Senate for the first time hosted a vote on an act calling for ban on some arms sales to Israel, as humanitarian aid trucks are denied access to the civilians in Gaza Strip.
