The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that Russian forces have extensively targeted vital energy facilities in Ukraine that support the operation of its military-industrial complex.
It confirmed that all objectives were achieved by hitting all targeted facilities.
According to Russian news agencies, the mayor of Ukrainian-controlled Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, admitted earlier in the day that power facilities and heating towers, as well as a combined heat and power plant in Kharkov, had been attacked.
Airstrike alerts have been declared in a number of regions of Ukraine.
Russian armed forces are targeting energy facilities, defense industries, military command and communications across the country; since then, air raid alerts have been announced in Ukrainian regions, on a regular basis; sometimes all over the country.
