Damascus - Saba:
Syrian media sources reported on Monday that the Syrian army and supporting forces repelled a fierce attack by armed groups on the village of al-Fan al-Wastani in northeastern Hama.
Al-Mayadeen quoted the sources as saying: The Syrian-Russian warplanes targeted a convoy of armed groups in the city of Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib countryside with two airstrikes at dawn.
She explained that the airstrikes did not stop from night to dawn, and “they were concentrated in the southern countryside of Idlib on the movements of militants in the areas entered by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in Khan Sheikhoun and Maarat al-Numan,” where “the Syrian army is clearly relying on the air force.”
She noted that yesterday's attacks “reached the western countryside of Aleppo, and targeted militants in the vicinity of Al-Hamdaniya Stadium, where there were targets of vehicles and movements of armed groups that entered the city of Aleppo.”
She pointed out that the Syrian army “dealt with drones in the northern Hama countryside, where it shot down a number of drones that the militants used extensively in attacking Aleppo, Saraqeb and Maarat al-Numan in the past few days.”
