48 people were injured in earthquakes that struck areas in Khuzestan province in southern Iran yesterday morning, Thursday.
Khuzestan Governor Mohammad Reza Mawali Zadeh said in a press statement yesterday evening, Thursday: One of the injured who was transferred to the hospital needs surgery, and it will be performed soon.
Field visits were made to the areas affected by the earthquake in the province and the necessary assessment is being carried out, he added.
Three camps have been set up to shelter earthquake victims in the Jaljir area of Masjid Soleiman city, to shelter families whose homes were severely damaged, Mawali Zadeh continued.
