New York - Saba:
Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Tuesday described the situation in Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip as "catastrophic and horrific."
Ghebreyesus said in a post on X that a team from the World Health Organization arrived at the hospital two days ago under the continuous bombing of the occupation, and delivered five thousand liters of fuel, quantities of food and medicine.
Ghebreyesus explained that the organization transferred three patients from "Kamal Adwan" to al-Shifa Hospital to continue receiving treatment, in light of the damage to oxygen supplies and electric generators due to the Israeli bombing.
He pointed out that the occupation arbitrarily refused the access of individuals affiliated with the World Health Organization to Kamal Adwan Hospital last week.
Ghebreyesus renewed his call for a ceasefire in Gaza to ensure "the protection of health services and to stop this atmosphere of hell."
