Hodeida - Saba:
Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Ayyash Qahim and Al-Hodeida Governor Abdullah Atifi were briefed on Tuesday on the work progress at Al-Hodeida Port.
Qahim and Atifi, along with Fisheries Authority Chairman Hussein Al-Attas, inspected a number of port facilities, the operational movement in the port's berths and yards, and the smoothness of unloading cargo ships and unloading commercial containers.
The Transportation Minister also discussed with the leadership of the Red Sea Ports Corporation the progress of the implementation of various tasks, maritime activity and the level of flow of cargo ships and containers.
Qahim and Atifi listened to an explanation of the efforts made to improve port services, develop work mechanisms, facilitate and simplify procedures.
The Transport and Works Minister stressed the importance of exerting more efforts to develop performance in order to achieve a qualitative leap in the services of the Corporation's ports.
Hodeida Governor touched on the vital role played by the Red Sea Ports Corporation as one of the most prominent service institutions for the Yemenis. He emphasized the importance of integrating efforts to succeed in its tasks and overcome any difficulties in front of it.
