Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted cold and very cold weather with frost formation in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that it expects very cold weather during the night and early morning in the governorates of Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran and Sa'dah and the highlands of Ibb and Al-Dhale'e with frost formation (thaw) in parts of them.
The weather may be cold in general in parts of the governorates of Al-Jawf, Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout and Al-Mahrah and the highlands of the governorates of Abyan, Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Hajjah, and Al-Mahwit.
According to the center, the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological stations this morning were as follows: Dhamar: -2.0, Al Bayda: -0.3, Amran: 0, Sana'a: 0.6, Sayoun: 3.4, Ad Dali': 07.0, Al Mahwit: 07.5 degrees Celsius.
The lowest temperatures were also recorded in Ibb: 7.8, Al Jawf: 8.0, Ataq: 8.4, Hajjah: 9.2, Raymah: 9.6, Taiz: 9.2 degrees Celsius.
The center warned citizens of the cold and very cold weather during the night and early morning hours, especially the elderly, children and the sick.
It urged farmers to take precautions against the effects of the very cold weather and the need to take the necessary measures to protect crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry farmers to shelter them in healthy and warm places.
