Zurich – Saba:

The Argentine national team, the world champion, maintained the top of the world ranking of teams issued by the International Federation of Football (FIFA), on Thursday, for the second time in a row.

According to Russia Today, the latest monthly ranking in 2024 announced by FIFA resulted in Argentina remaining in first place, just eight points behind second-placed France.

The top ten list was unchanged, with England in third place, followed by Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Germany from fourth to tenth respectively.

Twenty-one caps have been played over the past weeks since the last rankings appeared, with Vietnam jumping two places to 114th, and Indonesia and Myanmar dropping two spots to 127th and 169th respectively.

There was no change in the first places in Africa, where the Moroccan team maintained the top of the classification, followed by the Senegalese team, then Egypt, while the Japanese team maintained the classification of the Asian continent, followed by Iran and Korea.
