Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabih Abu Shousa honored today the winners of the first places in the Women's Olympic Open Shooting Championship (Senior Young Young), organized by the General Shooting Federation, under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the support of the Youth and Youth Welfare Fund.
In the honor, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Sports Sector Ali Hadban, and Undersecretary of the Ministry Hana Al-Alawi, the Deputy Minister of Youth praised the efforts of the General Shooting Federation in holding this tournament.
He stressed that this distinguished activity reflects the extent of interest in women allows them to practice the game of shooting and provides them with the skills required to deal with pistol and rifle weapons.
The Deputy Minister of Youth pointed to the need for the Shooting Federation to expand the practice of women in shooting, as it is one of the sports urged by the true Islamic religion. He stressed the Ministry's support and support for the Federation to implement distinguished programs and activities at the internal and external levels and to implement two live ammunition championships with pistol and rifle weapons, one for males and the other for females.
In the ceremony, which was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for the Sports Sector, Dr. Kamal Al-Sharif, and the Director of the Youth Office in the Capital Municipality, Abdullah Obaid, the Secretary-General of the Shooting Federation, Tariq Hanash, pointed out that the seven-day tournament witnessed the participation of about 60 players from various centers, universities, public and private schools, and a group of players from the national shooting team.
He praised the support of the Ministry of Youth and the Youth Welfare Fund for the Federation to promote this game.
