One person was killed and 10 others injured today in an explosion in a mall in the city of Vladikavkaz, the capital of the Republic of North Ossetia in southern Russia.
Russia Today channel said that a powerful explosion occurred in the "Alania Mall" shopping mall, followed by a huge fire.
It added that the cause of the incident was a gas cylinder explosion, as the incident resulted in the death of a woman and the injury of 10 people, all of whom were employees of the center.
North Ossetia President Sergei Minilo said upon arriving at the scene of the incident, "The shopping center building is not connected to the gas network, and all possible possibilities that led to the explosion are being considered."
