Baghdad - Saba:
A joint force from the Popular Mobilization's Nineveh Operations Command, in coordination with the Iraqi army, on Wednesday carried out a comprehensive security operation to search and clear areas in western Nineveh.
According to Iraqi media, the operations, intelligence and media departments participated in the operation, along with the 21st and 59th brigades and the Special Missions Regiment affiliated with the Popular Mobilization's Nineveh Operations Command, in addition to the Intelligence and Explosives Engineering Department, and support from Iraqi army units.
The operation included scanning and searching Badush Mountains, Adaya Mountains, Atshana Mountain, and the surrounding areas. It also included security checks on citizens' data with the aim of arresting wanted persons.
The joint forces were able to remove and process a number of war remnants belonging to terrorist gangs. They confirmed their continued efforts to enhance security and stability in those areas.
