The Russian federal security on Thursday said its forces foiled a series of attempts planned by Kiev regime to assassinate military leaders working for the Russian defense ministry and taking part in the special military operation, along with their family members.
One of Moscow City's residents was identified, the security said in a statement, after the man "was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence bureaus.
"Based on their instructions, he searched into the residences and workplaces of the Russian defense ministry high-rank servicemen and their family members, and sent pictures and videos to his bosses for more preparations for terrorist attacks," the statement read.
