Sana'a - Saba:
A surgical medical team at Hamdan Public Hospital in Sana'a Governorate on Tuesday performed a surgical operation, the first of its kind in the governorate, on a 34-year-old woman.
The hospital director, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ashoul, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that a team chaired by the consultant of obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Ahlam Al-Attab, and with the participation of operating technicians Akram Al-Tayyibi and Ammar Abdul Latif, and anesthesiologist Dr. Sami Al-Khalqi, successfully performed the surgery to the woman, who is a mother of two children. After examination and diagnosis, it was found that she suffered from a cyst in the right ovary measuring 20 x 25 cm, and she was subjected to medical examinations that confirmed the need for surgical intervention.
He pointed out that the cyst was successfully removed without any complications, in a step aimed at improving the patient's quality of life and restoring the functions of the reproductive system normally.
Dr. Ashoul hailed the operation as confirmation of the efficiency of the hospital's medical staff and their keenness to provide comprehensive health care to patients with complex cases.
