The Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatem Al-Doais, inaugurated a free community medical initiative organized by the University of Al-Hadhara in cooperation with the National Center for Public Health Laboratories, and it lasted for a week.
The initiative includes providing free medical examinations and services in several specialties, including clinical and laboratory examinations, ECG, oral and dental examinations, optometry, ear, nose, and throat, in addition to physiotherapy.
The Deputy Minister, accompanied by a number of officials, listened to an explanation about the initiative, which aims to meet the health needs of citizens. He praised the efforts of the university and the National Center for Blood Laboratories in providing these free services, especially in light of the current circumstances, stressing the importance of developing medical education and enhancing community services.
The delegation was also briefed on the equipment of the medical laboratories and the university hospital building being built by the approved standards, to provide advanced health and educational services. The attendees stressed the need to continue such initiatives to support needy groups and strengthen partnerships between academic and health institutions.
