Occupied Quds - Saba:
The Prime Minister of the Zionist entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, decided not to send the negotiating team to Qatar at this stage to discuss the second phase of the current ceasefire and prisoner swap deal, said a report by the Axios agency, quoting an Israeli source.
This move is considered a "very worrying signal" regarding the implementation of the second phase of the agreement, according to an Israeli official, expressing his hope that it will not negatively affect the implementation of the first phase, which continues for 42 days.
According to the terms of the agreement, negotiations for the second phase should begin on Monday, the sixteenth day of the first phase. The second phase is expected to include the return of all living detainees in the Gaza Strip, in exchange for an unspecified number of Palestinian prisoners, and a complete withdrawal of the Zionist enemy army from the Strip.
Increasing reports suggest that Netanyahu is seriously considering resuming the war after the first stage instead of moving to the second stage.
Axios reported that at the last minute, Netanyahu canceled a planned meeting with Mossad chief David Barnea, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, prisoner contact Nitzan Alon, and other senior negotiators, and sent his military secretary Roman Gofman to inform them of the Israeli prime minister’s decision not to send the team to Qatar at the current time.
