The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" confirmed, on Sunday, that what the Palestinian prisoners are exposed to in terms of physical and psychological abuse and torture, medical neglect, starvation and thirst constitute a full-fledged war crime.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, the movement said in a statement that the horrific testimonies of the released prisoners and the confirmation that they were subjected to abuse and beatings days before the release date and until the last hour of their release, "constitute a full-fledged war crime and a brutal violation of international laws related to prisoners committed systematically by the enemy government."
The movement called on the International Red Cross to guarantee the rights of prisoners based on the Geneva Conventions and their additional protocols.
