The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sana'a, in coordination with the Tax Authority, organized on Sunday an awareness seminar on tax returns.
The seminar aimed at spreading tax awareness among taxpayers about the importance of filing returns on time and highlighting the transformations witnessed by the authority in its work and what has been achieved in simplifying tax procedures in general and the procedures for filing tax returns in particular.
At the opening, Acting Head of the Tax Authority Wahid Al-Kabsi emphasized the importance of continuous meetings between the authority and taxpayers in the private sector, including traders, businessmen and financiers.
Mohammed Salah, Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in capital, praised the qualitative changes witnessed by the Tax Authority, which established a new stage of partnership with the private sector.
He said that the Chamber of Commerce and taxpayers are keen to file tax returns on time, noting that the presence of the Acting President in the Chamber's building to meet with traders embodies the depth of the partnership and the real orientation to consolidate the values of institutional work.
He emphasized the Chamber's keenness to strengthen the partnership between the Tax Authority and the private sector.
The seminar was enriched by many discussions and interventions by traders, which focused on all the tax transformations that have strengthened taxpayers' confidence in the sincere orientations towards establishing integrity in tax work.
