The Environmental Health Department of the Works Sector in Al-Hodeida Province, in cooperation with the Violations Prosecution, launched on Monday a field inspection campaign on restaurants to assess the level of implementation of health requirements.
At the launch and field trip in Al-Sabaliya in Al-Houk district, the Undersecretary of the Violations Prosecution, Judge Ahmed Al-Sufi, pointed out the importance of the campaign to strengthen health procedures in restaurants to protect the health of citizens, stressing the importance of reporting food establishments that violate health requirements to take action against them.
For his part, the deputy director of the Works Sector, Mohammed Somel, explained that the field visit will include all food establishments in the province center and districts to assess the extent of their application of health requirements.
The director of the Environmental Health Department, Jalal Hammoud, said that six restaurants were notified to provide the requirements and one restaurant was closed. He stressed the need for restaurant owners to adhere to health requirements in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens.
