A delegation from the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, headed by political bureau member and head of the International Relations Office Mousa Abu Marzouk, met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov at the Russian Foreign Ministry headquarters in Moscow.
According to a statement issued by Hamas on Monday, the two sides discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, especially with regard to the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and preparations for the second phase negotiations.
During the meeting, Leader Abu Marzouk emphasized the importance of the Russian role in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, stressing the need to provide all urgent humanitarian needs for the residents of Gaza, Russia's role in humanitarian aid, emergency relief and shelter, and rejecting any attempts to impose a new reality through siege or forced displacement.
For his part, Bogdanov emphasized Russia's firm position in supporting the rights of the Palestinian, welcoming the ceasefire agreement, and the need to bring in humanitarian aid without restrictions.
He also emphasized Moscow's rejection of any attempts to impose coercive solutions on the Palestinians, stressing the continuation of Russian efforts in international forums to support the Palestinian cause.
