Moscow - Saba:
Russian forces took control of the town of Dvorichna in the Kupyansk axis after retaking it from Ukrainian forces.
The head of the Russian administration in the Kharkov region, Vitaly Ganchev, said today in a statement to Sputnik Agency: "There are positive developments on the Kupyansk front, as our forces have managed during the past period to liberate a large number of towns, the largest of which is Dvorichna, where operations are currently underway to cleanse it of Nazis."
He pointed out that Dvorichna has great strategic importance, as its recapture allows Russian forces to expand the scope of their operations and enhance progress on several axes, explaining that Dvorichna was previously an important administrative center in the region.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on January 28 that the Russian military group "West" had imposed its control over the town located in the Kharkov region.
