The President of the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities, Abdul Wahab Al-Mahdi, discussed on Wednesday with the Director of the Architectural Studies and Training Center, Engineer Sami Moheb El-Din, the progress of the implementation of the center's work programs and activities and ways to improve and develop them.
The meeting was attended by the directors of the Studies and Academic Cooperation Department, Khaled Issa, the Training Department, Samir Al-Shawafi, the center's cadres , employees, and reviewed the training programs implemented by the center in the fields of preservation, restoration and maintenance of historical buildings, engineering programs, photography and documentation, occupational health , safety, professional crafts (carpentry, blacksmithing and construction).
The head of the Authority praised the steps and procedures related to developing and improving performance, stressing the importance of the center's work and the role it plays in upgrading its performance, its outputs, and supplying the labor market with qualified cadres.
Al-Mahdi pointed out the importance of the specialized services provided by the center in the field of studies, surveys of historical cities, documentation and capacity building since its establishment in 1993.
