Sana'a – SABA:
A meeting in Sana'a, which included the Ministers of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qahim, and the Minister of Economy and Investment Mueen Al-Mahagri, discussed ways to develop the executive regulations of the building law.
The meeting reviewed the draft amendments, which include building requirements and permits in accordance with engineering standards, in preparation for submission to the Council of Ministers.
The two ministers stressed the importance of updating the regulation to support infrastructure and urban development, noting that the new investment law provides opportunities to strengthen the construction and housing sector.
They also stressed the need to standardize building permits and improve the efficiency of staff of works offices through training courses, as part of the government's efforts to modernize legislation and improve the quality of construction projects.
