The Maghreb Anas district in Dhamar province launched on Monday the Maghreb Anas Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Association, and elected the association's administrative body.
At the founding meeting, Deputy Governor Ali Atif stressed the importance of cooperative societies in promoting the agricultural sector and raising its productivity of various crops, which contributes to enhancing food security and reaching self-sufficiency.
The director of the directorate, Ali Al-Kabsi, considered the establishment of Maghreb Anas Cooperative Association an important step in reviving cooperative work, encouraging farmers to expand the cultivation of crops, and providing their needs for seeds and agricultural inputs, urging the administrative body to prepare programs that translate the objectives of the association.
