"Faith Identity" volleyball Championship, organized by the steering committee of the Yemeni General Volleyball Federation under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and the support of Kamran Industry , Investment and Yemen Mobile, kicked off on Monday at the Sam Recreation Club in Sana'a.
The five-day tournament will be attended by 80 players representing eight teams that were divided into two groups, with the first group consisting of the following teams: Al-Hawaya, Al-Iman, Waad Al-Akhira, and Nour Al-Resala, while the second group included the following teams: Al Taqwa, Al Fatah, Al Hikma, and Al Nasr.
At the opening of the tournament, Mohammed Al-Dawla, Chairman of Kamran for Industry and Investment, emphasized the company's keenness to support various sports activities as part of the company's social responsibility.
For his part, the head of the steering committee of the Yemeni General Volleyball Federation, Walid Faye, stressed that the committee seeks to revitalize the game throughout the Republic. By preparing a chronic plan to revitalize the game in all provinces, whether at the level of clubs or teams through various tournaments.
According to the tournament system, the first and second teams from each group qualify for the semi-finals, which will be played in a scissor method, and the two winning teams from this round will reach the final of the tournament, while the two losers will face each other in a third-place match.
The teams of Al Hawayah, Al Taqwa, Nour Al Risalah and Wa'ad Al-Akhira won their first victory in the tournament.
