Beirut - Saba:
The southern suburb of Beirut is witnessing on Sunday an exceptional event in its modern history, as preparations are underway for the funeral ceremony of the master of the nation's martyrs, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and the Hashemite martyr, Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din.
This event, which carries broad national, religious and popular dimensions, requires precise organization and intensive coordination to ensure the participation of the large crowds that will accompany the two pure bodies to their final resting place.
Inside the Beirut Sports City, which will be the starting point for the funeral ceremony, the place has been prepared to receive large numbers of mourners.
Engineer Mohammed Assaf took over the responsibility of the events management committee, where he worked with his team on all logistical preparations, starting from determining the location of the ceremony to securing the funeral route.
In an interview with Al-Manar TV, Assaf explained that the Sports City was chosen due to its large capacity, as the main square will be allocated to receive mourners, in addition to opening the side courtyards and placing seats for participants to ensure their comfort.
Large screens have also been set up in various parts of the place and along the path, to enable attendees to follow the details of the ceremony clearly, especially in light of the expectations of a large audience from different Lebanese regions, in addition to a number of delegations coming from different countries around the world.
The ceremony will begin with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the playing of the Lebanese national anthem, then the Hezbollah anthem, before the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, delivers a speech on this occasion.
After that, the funeral prayer will be performed over the two pure bodies, after which the funeral ceremony will set off from the Sports City towards President Hafez al-Assad Highway, where the body of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah will be buried in his blessed shrine in the Burj al-Barajneh area.
In addition to the logistical preparations, the artistic and visual aspect was of particular importance on this great occasion.
Engineer Mohamed Khafaga, Head of the Visual and Artistic Identity Committee for the Ceremonies, spoke about the great efforts made to design a visual identity that reflects the sanctity and grandeur of the event.
Khafaga explained that the announcement of the funeral was accompanied by an integrated visual campaign, where a large number of artists and designers participated in developing visual concepts that express the symbolism of the two martyrs and their status in the hearts of their loved ones.
The campaign included designing special logos and large visual panels, in addition to broadcasting media materials that embody the spirit of sacrifice and redemption that characterized the martyrs’ journey.
He stressed that the designs revolved around symbols that reflect the approach of resistance and steadfastness, in addition to using colors and lines that highlight the majesty of the event and give it the majestic character that befits this occasion.
