After French judiciary deprived of dues.. Mbappe's lawyer threatens to escalate

Paris - Saba:
(Delphine Verheiden), the lawyer of French Kylian Mbappe, the star of the Spanish Real Madrid team, threatened Paris Saint-Germain with escalating the player's crisis regarding his late dues with the Parisian giant.

Kylian Mbappe left Paris Saint-Germain last summer, to join Real Madrid on a free transfer, after his contract with the Parisian giant expired.

The French Football Federation's Supreme Appeals Committee rejected Mbappe's appeal against the decision not to pay these dues.

For its part, the Paris Saint-Germain administration confirmed that it is not obligated to pay this amount due to a previous agreement reached with Mbappe in August 2023.

The agreement stipulates that the player will waive the bonuses amounting to 55 million euros if he leaves the club for free at the end of the 2023-2024 season without transfer compensation.
In turn, Delphine Verheiden said in statements highlighted by the French newspaper L'Equipe today, that Mbappe did not reach an agreement with his former club Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023.

She continued: "In the labor law, an addendum must be signed to amend the salary or the duration of the contract, and the football regulations stipulate that this addendum must be approved within 15 days of signing it. If this does not happen, all discussions are void, there was no agreement with Paris."

She continued: "I think Paris Saint-Germain is using magical thinking, this is what you do when you tell yourself, we are not facing a club in the amateur league that does not know the regulations."

She explained regarding his delayed dues: "The third third of the signing bonus is missing, which is equivalent to 36.66 million euros in total. Then the salaries for April, May and June are estimated at 18.75 million euros, which brings us closer to 55 million euros."
She concluded her statements by adding that she does not rule out resorting to the labor court, and not seeking to reach an amicable settlement.
