Sana'a - Saba:
The Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission, chaired by Vice Chairman Raidan al-Mutawakel, on Wednesday approved a draft procedural guide aimed at protecting whistleblowers, witnesses, and experts.
The guide, presented by Commission member Dr. Habib al-Rumaima and Safwan Aqaba, Director of the Whistleblower Protection Division, was discussed thoroughly before gaining approval.
The guide seeks to activate national legislation and the International Convention against Corruption, outlining procedures and measures for the legal protection of those who report corruption. Its goal is to bolster confidence in the protection system, encouraging individuals to disclose information on corruption and related crimes.
The guide is structured into four chapters: the first covers standards and objectives, the second details the conditions for granting protection, divided into personal, functional, and legal categories, the third outlines protection procedures, and the fourth includes concluding provisions.
The Commission also addressed other agenda items during the meeting, taking necessary actions on them.
