Seoul - Saba:
Fifteen people were injured on Thursday after two KF-16 fighter jets of the South Korean Air Force accidentally dropped eight bombs outside a training range during live-fire exercises.
The incident occurred in the city of Bucheon, north of Seoul, and resulted in injuries ranging from minor to serious, in addition to destroying a church and six buildings.
Authorities said one of the shells fell on a road near a civilian house, while a cargo truck was damaged in the incident. Firefighters reported that two people were seriously injured, while all were taken to hospitals.
The South Korean Air Force has opened an investigation into the incident, apologized for the harm caused to civilians, and confirmed that it will take all necessary measures to compensate for the damage.
