Nablus - Saba:
Zionist settlers on Monday established a new settlement outpost in the lands of the town of Hawara, south of Nablus in the West Bank.
The head of the public relations department in the Hawara municipality, Rana Abu Haniya, said, according to what was reported by the Palestinian "Wafa" agency, that settlers set up tents and plastic houses on the summit of Mount Ras Zeid, in the Za'tara Basin.
She pointed out that these lands were bulldozed and worked by settlers for more than a month.
The Palestinian Anti-Wall and Settlement Commission said that settlers had attempted to establish 8 new settlement outposts since the beginning of last month, mostly agricultural and pastoral. These outposts were distributed by attempting to establish two settlement outposts on the lands of Tubas Governorate, and one outpost in each of Jericho, Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Tulkarm and Nablus.
It pointed out that the escalation of attempts to establish settlement outposts in the last stage falls within the framework of tearing apart Palestinian geography and imposing facts of control over Palestinian land, as settlers undertake the task of making a change on the ground, and then the official level undertakes to transform this change into a reality by legislating it, establishing it and transforming it into a settlement site that enjoys all services.
