Ottawa - Saba:
Canada announced that it will impose 25 percent tariffs on US goods worth more than $ 20 billion, in response to the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on steel and aluminum imports, which came into effect overnight.
According to CNBC, Canadian Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc said at a press conference, "The new tariffs include steel and aluminum, in addition to other American goods, including computers, sports equipment and cast iron products."
The new Canadian tariffs are in addition to another 25 percent tariff Ottawa imposed on $30 billion worth of U.S. goods on March 4, in response to President Donald Trump's imposition of broad tariffs on Canadian imports.
